Joshua Tapp was born in Louisville, Kentucky and has lived in Shelby County, Kentucky all his life.
He has one older sister, one younger brother, and one younger sister.
Josh grew up on small farms and learned how to work hard from a young age.
Work, church, school, baseball, and basketball were a big part of his life growing up.
Now, Josh works an an electrical engineer and enjoys his current job supporting the defense of our military.
Joshua was married to Pamela in the early 2000’s and now has 3 daughters with Pam.
Gary and Beverly Tapp were both born in the 1950’s and have been married since the 70’s. Both of his parents are very hard workers and were the best parents anyone could ask for.
Josh remembers his Dad and Mom always working to give their children a better life. Beverly was a stay at home Mom, but she also worked in the family businesses and took care of the farm while Gary was working. In other words, she had several jobs that weren’t easy.
The first home Joshua remembers growing up in is on 53 North Lagrange Road right after the curve on the left from the split to Lucas Road. Here’s a current picture of this home as it has changed over the years.
He remembers getting on the bus for kindergarten the first time and hating going to school. The bus pickup and drop off was very dangerous in that area as there is a hill that cars would come flying over while the bus was stopped.
