Repentance to be saved is a change of mind from unbelief on the Lord Jesus Christ to believing on Him to be your Savior.
Repent doesn’t automatically mean “repent of your sins.”

When it comes to salvation, you do not have to repent of your sin to be saved.
You should realize that you are a sinner and that you need to be saved from your sins. But, what MUST I do to be saved doesn’t include repenting of sin. It’s simply believing on the Lord Jesus Christ to save you.
Once you are saved, you should repent of your sin. You should be sorry for your sin. You should do your best now to stop sinning. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit was given to you to help you stop sinning and to help you to follow God.
